Since 1982 Victims of Crime and Leniency (VOCAL) has been an advocate for victims of violent crime providing direct services and support for victims of violent crime in Alabama. VOCAL provides grief counseling, crime scene clean-up, criminal justice hearing attendance, and assistance with crime victim compensation applications along with assistance with specific needs. There is never a charge for our services. VOCAL also participates in public awareness and educational opportunities that will benefit crime victims.
