NCVLI’s Victims’ Rights Partnership Award recognizes the collaborative efforts of individuals and/or organizations who have devoted their time to advancing crime victims’ rights.
An Oregon native, Carrie is a Detective with the Ashland Police Department assigned to the You Have Options Program as the Program Director. Additionally, Carrie Hull is an instructor with the Oregon Sexual Assault Training Institute where she teaches best practices in sexual assault investigations to law enforcement officers across the nation, and she also serves as a member of the Legislative and Public Policy Committee for the Oregon Sexual Assault Task Force and as a member of NCVLI’s Advisory Council. Under her guidance, the Ashland Police Department now follows a victim-centered and offender-focused approach to sexual violence that has resulted in a significant increase in both the number of reported sexual assaults and victim satisfaction with law enforcement. Carrie has received the End Violence Against Women International Professional Impact Award, the American Association of University Women Breaking Barriers Achievement Award, the local and regional Ruby Award from Soroptimist International and has been the recipient of three community policing awards and two merit awards in addition to being named Office of the Year at the Ashland Police Department.
